SATOR SQUARE is a band of musicians with a Dark/Heavy Metal sound. We all live in the San Diego area. Just a bunch of friends creating music purely because we enjoy it. Sator Square's Bio: Sator Square was formed in 2003 by Will Schmher "Keyboards/Piano", Tom Dustin and Grover Ballmer "Guitars". We then wrote 2 songs (Divided I Fall and Misfortune Teller) without Drums and knew we had to find a drummer. Matthew Porter was then added on drums (Where Grover found him working at a Circle K). Tom then came up with the name “Sator Square”. Ron called Grover knowing we needed a singer and was added immediately. Jules Najor (Damnation, EXP) was popping in and out, so we had him take over on bass. He was replaced by Jeff Sheets soon after for reasons unknown. Jeff quit shortly after, due to time issues with his other band (M.O.R.). He was replaced by Tony Filaccio (Damnation) long time friend of Grover and Will’s. He quit shortly after joining due to unknown issues. Jeff Sheets was released from his other band (M.O.R.) and now had time for Sator Square again, so we brought him back to the fold (Jeff has played bass for all of Sator Square’s shows). Matthew was then replaced by Jesse Martinez (Prophecy) in 2006 (Jesse recorded all drum tracks on our current album). Jesse quit in late 2007 and has been replaced by Blackie Sanchez (Benedictum, R.D.K., G-13).
